You have many options.   You can reach out to peers who are just like you and want to be there for someone like you.  We have Chaplains who can advise or listen with a spiritual or emotional focus.   You can also contact trained professionals in many different specialties through our Employee Assistance Program.   Our EAP Coordinator can guide you to the right person.  The main thing to remember is that all these resources are FREE to you and they are here to hear from you or your family members.

why we're here People from all walks of life and professions may eventually come to a rough spot in their lives where it becomes too difficult to manage alone. We believe no one should ever suffer alone. So, Local 2928 created this website to help bridge the gap. Events such as the loss of loved one, divorce, illness or health issues coupled with the overall instability of life can often lead people with a sense of being lost. We want to help connect you with people who care. Having someone you can talk with that may have had similar experiences can be an enormous advantage in helping you move from one part of your life to another. This Local 2928 website was designed by firefighter families and for firefighter families. It's here to provide you and your loved ones with different opportunities and ways to find a friendly ear.
